- Have a bad hand
- Need a supporter
- Need to bench something
- Need something to stall/control e.g. Counter Catcher

1 x Mawile (Lost Origin)  to trap a Pokemon in active. Can KO Snorlax

3 x Trekking Shoes (Astral Radiance)  to quickly go through your deck

2 x Pal Pad (Scarlet & Violet)  instead of 1 as you will be going through your deck

3 x Night Stretcher (Shrouded Fable) to quickly get a Pokemon to bench:
- Great Tusk for Mill
- Greninja for draw (if KOed or discarded early)
- Mimikyu for control

1 x Gravity Gemstone (Stellar Crown) to make it harder for the opponent to retreat the active

2 x Handheld Fan (Twilight Masquerade) to move energy to utility Pokemon and preventing it from going to discard (Super Rod/Night Stretcher recovery)

1 x Rescue Board (Temporal Forces) for 1 retreat Pokemon to go to Active when a KO on active occurs (normally on Great Tusk)
