Question: Don't the metagross and the duraludon VMAX need a V in order for usage?
Answer: they do not because of the radiant eternatus card. It allows you to place 2 vmax from your deck to your bench.
The struggle is getting it to your hand. Placing it as the starting card means you can't use the ability.
If you can get it your first turn tho.... especially metagross which only needs 2 energy... you have a great start especially since after the first attack you would do 250 damage each turn (provided you don't switch or get boss orders, or escape roped)
Also, if someone is using v against you this deck allows you to essentially take 90 less damage per turn on metagross (or duraludon if u add the extra energy to him) because choice belt takes 30 less, v guard energy takes 30 less, and crystal cave heals 30 per turn.
The biggest downside is metagross is weak to fire.
This deck NEEDS Hisuian Heavy Ball. Professor Turo's Scenario can help with Radiant Eternatus in case you start with it. Skwovet works better with Alfaro's because Bibarel can't guarantee a card draw. This deck lacks an energy acceleration engine except for Cobalion, so try using Technical Machine: Turbo Energize. It works well with Arven and can replace some of your more arbitrary tools.
Professors turo is the same thing as Penny. I have 2 penny in the deck. So I'm covered at that point.
As for birabel, you actually can guarantee a card draw. (Unless u mean that u have over 5 cards) by using altaria before using birabel. Because it puts the supporter at the top the deck before drawing. I did look into swovet but ultimately decided against it because I still needed altaria and bibarel. Can't realistically have 3 support cards on the bench like that.
The energy is a worry at times. I may use your suggestion for TM: energize.
Tho I wouldn't remove the other tools. I really like the way they work with the current pokemon I have.
I find having the heavy ball in here is slightly redundant when I don't really need any of the basics. It won't break me not having bidoof or a glimmet. The only one that breaks the deck is eternatus. Even then I have peonia. And can use glimmora as the main attacker.
So far in the 20ish games I've played with this I'm only outclassed by fire (metagross is weak to fire) and anything with mimikyu.
