The Hoopa V deck focuses on using Hoopa V's Shadow Impact attack which does 170 damage. Hoopa V's Two-Faced Ability lets Hoopa V be both Psychic type and Dark type. This means that Hoopa V can hit for Weakness on things like Rapid Strike Urshifu VMAX and Mew VMAX. We play 1 copy of Meloetta as a backup attacker because its Melodious Echo attack can hit for a lot of damage. You could discard your Darkness Energy cards with the Ability and potentially get them back with Turbo Patch. We run 3 Circhester Bath, which makes it so all Basic Pokemon take 20 less damage from your opponent's attacks. We run the 1 Metal Energy because it is good when you have to attack with Genesect V. The main strategy of this deck is to go first, Bench 2 Genesect V, 1-2 Hoopa V, attach an Energy card to a Hoopa V and pass. On turn 2, this is when you start using Hoopa V's Shadow Impact attack!
