Deck Primer

A deck built around going second and getting 1-2 knockouts on the first turn. It will consistently be able to swing for 90 damage on T1 and 30 on the bench with some combination of energy, Hop's Choice Band, Snorlax, and Postwick. Combined with an Iron Valiant or two you can either grab 2 KOs on basics or set up another KO on the next turn and put immense pressure on your opponent. Your prize trade generally goes 2 with Zacian and Valiant, 2 with Crams, and then finish the game with another Zacian

Combined with an Iron Valiant or two you can either grab 2 KOs on basics or set up another KO on the next turn and put immense pressure on your opponent. Your prize trade generally goes 2 with Zacian and Valiant, 2 with Crams, and then finish the game with another Zacian or with a big Ursaluna. Pay attention to your sequencing and what you bring up when KOd, it is very strange. For example, it is often optimal to bring up something other than an Iron Valiant with capsule attached so you can do something like switch to your Valiant, retreat into a different Valiant and then Jet Energy up your attacker. As for possible changes, Surfer hasn't felt very good, but it is another switch card which is probably needed. Do not cut the Colress, it is amazing for smoothing out the deck and finding that one energy for your Ursaluna or Postwick. Penny is a tech for Dragapult as they like to do a play where they punch a Zacian and put bench damage, then Boss up the damaged benched pokemon and take 2 KOs at once. It can also be helpful when they spread damage on your Zacians so they can OHKO them later with Pult. It can also act as another switch card. Finally, you could also possibly build out the deck to use Latias ex instead of Future Booster Energy Capsules, but imo that will decrease your chances of getting a good T1 because the deck relies on Squawk to pull it off, and you often Arven for Nest Ball + Booster Capsule for a switch card and Squawk. You cannot do this with Latias because you will only be able to grab one of Squawk or Latias, and you'll just pray you can Squawk into Latias or Nest Ball. If you do decide to test this route, I recommend still playing 1 Booster Energy Capsule to try to work around this.
