I love not being able to die!

That sums up what you need to know here lol. This deck was partially made as a joke, if the title and general attitude here wasn't big enough of a tip-off. Feel free to criticise!

This deck aims to be annoying with the sheer amount of HP increasing, damage reducing, and healing cards this deck as to offer. Yes Gardeon can do this better. Yes LucMetal can do this better. but are they as funny as THE BIRDS? I didn't think so. Articuno & Zapdos & Moltres-GX

This deck aims to be annoying with the sheer amount of HP increasing, damage reducing, and healing cards this deck as to offer. Yes Gardeon can do this better. Yes LucMetal can do this better. but are they as funny as THE BIRDS? I didn't think so. Articuno & Zapdos & Moltres-GX might not be the best choice optimally, but hear me out. The titular Tag Team has the mopst base HP out of any basic Colourless Pokemon, at a staggering 300. When you combine that with Hero's Cape and Bouffolant, it has an effective 460 health that the opponent has to chew through. Its GX attack's primary effect also resets itself, acting as a last-ditch source of prize denial.

Nothing popular in Expanded can do that much damage alone (Gouging Fire and Regidrago using Mega Ray coming the closest), so what you need to worry about is instant KO effects. Luckily, Mist Energy can help you out! I'd advise stacking multiple of them on a target you want to protect, because it's not unlikely the opponent will have Enhanced Hammer to counter your counter.

When you feel ready to attack, you can start spamming a buffed-up Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex, who, with 2 Power Colourless Energy attached, can hit the magic number in Expanded being 280. This deck has no form of accleration, so you will have to telegraph your plan, which is an unfortunate weakness this deck has.

I considered trying to work this into a deck that can make use of THE BIRDS' Tag Team Bonus in its GX attack, allowing for a surprise Kyurem, or just generally spam 210 damage with no drawbacks, with maybe Terapagos ex in there for good measure, but I couldn't get the idea to work in a way I'd like. Anyways, enjoy this deck I haphhazardly stiched together!

I mean, I get what ur thinkin here, but like you mentioned, at the end of the day, it's still kinda joke.

I'll hold on any specific suggestions for that same reason, but there's actually two reasons that Gardeon and LucMetal, like mentioned, work that this doesn't have, and I think you would know them:

- They both have an infinite energy switch system, preventing Acerola and Max potion from resetting energies(dusknoir special transfer here or smth?)

- They do actually have an attack that is intended to be used(need some sort of accel tho which is tough)

Also yeah, I get it, it's funny but what's the point of the birds in the first place? You have bloodmoon, which is buffed to 320 from Bouffalant alone, making the only META able to OHKO it Gouging fire. (mega ray with muscle band too but you have other HP buffs)

Why compressor engine? I fail to see the synergy between it and your central strategy.

Also ur completely right abt decks running Enhanced hammer, bc most thoughtfully built decks that I see that have an insta KO pokemon like Yveltal have 1 or even 2 copies of enhanced hammer to counter their mist/wash energies. They're useful anyways too since special energy is actually quite common among expanded decks. Namely DDE and DCE and other good special energies.

It doesn't seem like you care abt the deck a crazy amt so like I said, I'll hold on any advice.

decently built tho I'll give ya that. Just a few screws loose. Also nice gif btw

Battle Compressor A neat interaction is that if you're using Rainbow Energy effects, Metal Transfer works fine as they're still technically Metal energy. Maybe I should go with the rainbow build w/ Terapagos and see how that goes?

Wait actually hold up you actually cooked there, I didn't realize that you could do that with metal transfer, and I think you're right that it can. Honestly birds is fine here if you're in it for the funnies. It's just that acceleration would be a pain, which Terapagos doesn't have an issue with in exchange for less HP. 230 + 60 Bouffalant +50 Charm is still 340, which tanks most things still.

Dunsparce (Fusion Strike) is a decent consideration considering you're running mist energy for coverage already, so why not some more coverage.

Battle Compressor This is ironic, because working with Terapagos means that this is one of the rare cases you want AZU instead of Sky Field, as this deck doesn't benefit from the opponent from having more bench space, nor is it indifferent with something like Raichu Donk. You can also Strategically turn it on and off through Acerola to remove your pesky benchwarmers such as Dede, Lele, and Bat.

I'll do a rework, aiming more towards competitive-ness, but I'll still keep a copy of THE BIRDS for they funny. Having access to Metal Transfer might help out a lot as well.

Battle Compressor avatar

That is all very true. This is probably one of very few cases you'd use AZU since your central strategy uses a tera.

Penny over Acerola btw if ur plannin on using the "turn it on and off" thing, which is smart. (Penny anyways actually)

good lord this is sounding disgustingly like standard but oh well.

Wish you luck on the drawing board.

Battle Compressor Mew VMAX is the bane of my existence, and my number one gripe with its existence in Expanded is that the Expanded list looks nearly identical to its Standard one. The tank build generally isn't great in Standard for Terapagos anyways since the Dusknoir one is just that much better, but Expanded has some of the tools available that can push it to where it needs to be.
