Crazy potential in Expanded! Suggestions are welcome!

Tier: (WR is estimated win rate against META decks)

SEMI-META (50%+ WR) 😍

HIGH (40-50% WR) 😊

CASUAL (30-40% WR)🙂

LOW (20-30% WR)😑

GIMMICKY (0-25% WR) 🤡

The strategy is definitely heard of but not definitive. Slowking is lackluster in standard, but has amazing potential in expanded where "amazing" pokemon can be used. Yveltal is the main source of damage, with a simple instant KO with no strings attached. Kyogre and Raikou both have their niches.

Yveltal is the main source of damage, with a simple instant KO with no strings attached. Kyogre and Raikou both have their niches. This deck also works better in expanded due to much more efficient top deck setters.

Specific Cards:

Oranguru - main top deck setter.

Magcargo - either set the top deck for discard or synergize with Oranguru and search for a card and top deck simultaneously.

Dimension valley - SUPER useful, as it lessens Slowing's energy cost to 1 psychic.

Ditto - use slowking or magcargo.

5 stretchers - shuffle into deck for Magcargo or put in hand for Oranguru.

Enhanced Hammer - Mist and Wash energies could wall Yveltal's strike, which is the main strike.

Horror Energy - extra effect is almost useless, for Guzma and Hala energy search.

Consistency ends up becoming the main weakness because at the end of the day, the deck is still slightly gimmicky despite how well it works.

Have fun! 🥰

Whoa this is cool, tbh Slowking really didn't seem like something special in standard, but Amazing pokemon synergy is crazy.

- 2 blower is a bit excessive. I get it, you do depend on stadiums and abilities so Chaotic swell and Garbodor could pose issues, but the deck is inconsistent like you said and the best way to improve consistency is lessening tech.

- I don't know what you were trying to do with a quarter compressor engine, but honestly I can't think of better solution. Maybe one more compressor and one more seeker could be helpful, since each stretcher can cycle up to 3 of the amazing pokemon, so the leftovers can be used for compressor engine.

- tools aren't crazy important here, and you don't have many stumps, so a 1:1 of Colress Tenacity and GandH is better than 2 GandH.

These are all minor suggestions, overall the deck is well made and the idea is well constructed. Honestly Oranguru SWSH is kinda underrated even without the combo.

High A tier strength; Low S tier build.

Battle Compressor Yeah ikr!

Thanks for the advice! ❤️❤️❤️

Ye I was stuck with the compressor thing, I was thinking of converting to compressor engine because the deck will use lots of stretcher, but was hesitant so I settled on 1 compressor and called it a day. However, your explanation does make sense. I'll make those changes.

The rest of what you said all makes sense too.

Here I was thinking I was one of very few people that thought that Oranguru SWSH was super good. 😏

Thanks for high tiers too!

Would it be worth using Buddy-Buddy Poffin (Temporal Forces) for your basic search option? I can get how Slowpoke from SCR has a decent attack, but the one from Lost Thunder has 70 HP and a fine-ish stalling attack if worst comes to worst. I'd use it because of how many more cards it can set up with less effort required. It's not like you're using any cards that have a "when played" effect, either, so most of the time you will probably be benching what you search for right away anyways. I also don't know why you will ever need an amaizng Pokemon in play outside of EXTREMELY desperate scenarios where you have no =>70 HP pokemon in the deck and don't want to bench out lol.

Anyways, the deck looks like a lot of fun to play!

Thanks CountyGibbon798 ,

I am already using poffin... ? Poffin is for slowpoke and slugma, but quick ball is for the amazing pokemon. Nobody in the right mind would bench those,🤨 which is why quick ball is super useful. You need them in your hand to use Oranguru effectively. Cargo is for synergy with Oranguru mostly. Basically a makeshift Pidgeot ex.

Also you are right abt slowpoke I forgot Slowpoke SCR has too much HP. 😅

CountyGibbon798 Bro was so used to Dedenne and Lele that bro forgot that quick ball has other uses.

Also siegislash btw you probably want a mew bench barrier, you are running a single prize deck. Those are the decks that need a bench barrier.

Siegislash Well I'm blind. I usually take a quick look and comment on breaks, which leads to me being a lot less perceptive than usual lol.

This deck might actually see use in running Max Revive (Generations) due to it being low-maintenance and automatically sets up an attack. I wouldn't replace the Oranguru engine + Rescue Stretcher combo you have going because of how much more useful it is overall, but one or two Max Revives could probably help out a lot in a pinch if you need to quickly put something back.
