Interesting list, but wouldn't Sparkling Crystal be better to use than Maximum Belt?
Waffle Enthusiast Sparkling Crystal would be better at making the attacks of either Flareon or Jolteon much cheaper but Maximum Belt allows either of the 2 to be able to one shot Pokémon like Gardy, Pult, or Zard which is quite helpful due to them being commonly played.
LimeLemon Suppose that makes sense.
This deck looks pretty fun! I'll have to try it out. I got wrecked by something similar on TCG Live. Blaziken being able to bring back energy is huge.
HighDesertStorm Thank you for your feedback and good luck using this deck!
I will say though that I find Squawkabilly to be kind of useless... only good the first turn then just takes up a seat on the bench. Thinking of grabbing another Tera orb in its place.
HighDesertStorm Thank you for your feedback! Also, yeah that change could work since Squawk may not be used all the time.
Was looking for some improvements on my Jolteon EX deck when I came across yours. Blaziken seems like a better version of Eelektrik (Obsidian Flames), so I'll give it a try. I may throw in a Lucky Helmet (Twilight Masquerade) to have a second tool for Arven—feels kinda rough only getting half the effect sometimes.
Fan Rotom (Prismatic Evolutions) is a good option if you ever decide to run Noctowl since you can grab it turn 1 with Nest Ball/Ultra Ball/Poffin. Additional colorless mons open up the possibility of Glass Trumpet (Prismatic Evolutions), but that may be less valuable with Blaziken. I'll tinker with that a bit and see how it goes.
An annoying problem I run into is any of the mons running an ability that ignores damage from EX mons (Mimikyu, Sylveon, Crustle, etc). How've you been handling those?
Jassu I wouldn't really suggest to use this deck as it's outdated as it was made for the Journey Together format, I do plan to eventually release updated decks for the Eeveelutions though. Though, I'd recommend to use the Torchics and Combusken from Destined Rivals and increase Professor's Research to 4 Copies. There'll be more changes that'd be in the updated Jolteon ex deck. You could also try TR's Spidops instead as it's a Stage 1 Single Prize Pokémon that recovers Energy to itself so you consistently swing for 240 consistently. Furthermore, adding in the Single Prize Jolteon from 151, you'd have a decent way to deal with Crustle and Mimikyu. If you want Tool Cards, 1 Air Balloon would be helpful since it can give Free Retreat to Flareon ex, Blaziken ex or TR's Spidops if you swap Blaziken for it. I hope this can help!
LimeLemon Thanks for getting back to me. I'm really just playing for fun, not to ladder climb or win tournaments or anything, so I don't mind running a deck like this. I had already built a Jolten ex deck and wanted to see what ways I could improve upon it and you've given me some good suggestions. I'll try out both Blaziken and TR's Spidops. Each has its perks, so I'll see what I end up liking most. I'll probably run normal Flareon since Crustle is weak to fire and it has 20 HP more than Jolteon. I thought about Air Balloon as well, and I think you're right that it's the better option.
