Say it with me, kids! This 👏 is 👏 not 👏 competitive! 👏
I'll try and keep this one brief, because this looks and feels like 90% of every Expanded deck posted here, as it's literally just your token Standard theme deck but with an Expanded coat of paint. Even in Standard I doubt this would be any good because a deck that needs 2 stage 2's in play for the attacker to thrive is a recipe for bricking disaster. In fact, that's one of the main reasons why Chien-Pao ex has fallen off in Standard (barring the fact that Raging Bolt does its job better), but needing a stage 2 support that the opponent can easily deal with.
For this deck itself, it has zero gusting options, no ACE SPEC, no energy recovery, and no bench protection. And I'm sorry, but since you called this competitive, I'm not holding back lol. If you take this to a tournament, it fails spectacularly against Regidrago for its ability lock and easy spread damage, Amazing and Dragon Lugia have really good snipers (whether it's Amazing Raikou, Kyogre, or Kyurem), and Shadow Rider will Chimecho you to death, without something like a Pokemon Ranger to save you. Budew Control will also be awful to play against because you need your rare candies to get a proper setup. Like I always say, be careful with the competitive label.
CountyGibbon798 Say it with me, Gibbon! As 👏 bad 👏 as 👏this 👏is, 👏 you 👏 shouldn't 👏 care! 👏
(Sorry for sounding like a mean loser, but please, take it easy, man)
And also energy retrieval isn't to important, because I have EXP share.
I mean, I can respect the power play, but I genuinely believe that if you want to call something competitive, you should respect the name and environment it's intended for. When I (and probably many others), hear that something is competitive, I assume that it's something that you could bring to a tournament. If you seem to know that this deck isn't that good, then why call it competitive to begin with?
I play hard because I'm probably one of like... five people who takes Expanded seriously, so when getting other people into it, it can be a tough task to deine what makes a deck really good. If you see my older decks, you could get a good grip on how AWFUL those were, so we all started somewhere lol. It's nice that you're willing to learn and grow, so I try not to sound TOO condescending when I go at it. Like always, I suggest looking at LimitlessTCG decks to see what people are running, and hwat general patterns tend to work, as it can help you a ton. Good luck!
