I was writing a different comment, but then I read the Latios and realized that it wasn't a VMax tanking deck. This looks like a lot of fun and something that I would use. It doesn't have a very high damage cap though, so it may suffer. I'd recommend adding one or two fire type energy, and make the Latias an attack option. You might want another S Energy Retrieval as well, because you'll be cycling through them a lot.

Going off of what NoGoodNames said, adding a few fire energies will give you access to Radiant Charizard (Pokémon GO) which can one shot pokemon like Chien-Pao ex or a basic pokemon V. I'd also add in a few copies of Ultra Ball (Scarlet & Violet) since you probably want more ways to find Xatu since that is your main draw engine. Finally, this may not do a lot, but Bravery Charm (Paldea Evolved) can save you from being one shot by Iron Hands ex if you run into a lot of people who play that. Whether you take these suggestions or not, that's up to you. I do like the deck concept though.

to alpha nova and nogoodnames said, both good suggestions. dunno about trying to make latias an attacker at all, as the deck cycles latios enough and energy enough that i can just retreat back to it without worry, but having a secondary attacker that can put in enough damage to threaten bad match ups like basic V's is a good idea. also didn't think about the iron hands match up. that's a good thought to have

I love this deck concept, but there's some cards here that are missing.

Battle VIP Pass (Fusion Strike) is a great card giving you the ability to get a lot of basic pokemon on your bench first turn, and also serves as easy discard fuel for Ultra Ball (Shining Legends) which is another great card to add, or Superior Energy Retrieval (Paldea Evolved) .

About Superior Energy Retreival, you might want to replace 2 Energy Search (Sword & Shield) for two more Superior Energy Retreival. You can discard cards you dont need and get a lot more energy that way.

Other than that, this is a great deck. I really like it. :)
