The VStar is not a great Pokemon in of itself but due to the lack of VStars in the format it actually is pretty respectable. Leafeon V carries your early game attachments and Leaf Guard + the beefed up HP means this isn't the worst deck in the world thanks to the extra VStar ability. Even if you lose the VStar you are only down 2 prizes which is annoying to deal with. Dark-type attackers help to give the deck extra energy ramp and answers to Mew.
