LMZ (Small Tag Call) (TEU-CRE)

Lucario & Melmetal / Zacian (LMZ) has become an established archetype over the past year or so and has put up insane finishes relative to its amount of play. With the release of Chilling Reign, the deck itself changes very little, but the shifting landscape of the meta has forced LMZ to adapt in some ways, while giving it a breather in other ways. Lucario & Melmetal / Zacian (LMZ) has become an established archetype over the past year or so and has put up insane finishes relative to its amount of play. With the release of Chilling Reign, the deck itself changes very little, but the shifting landscape of the meta has forced LMZ to adapt in some ways, while giving it a breather in other ways. With the introduction of Path to the Peak and the decline in Welder decks respectively affecting LMZ in a relevant way, the shift is ultimately a wash, leading LMZ right back where it started as a solid deck (pun not intended). 

These changes however have seen players sporting high counts of Chaotic Swell to help combat Path to the Peak while also throwing the Tag Call package to the wayside as Coating Metal Energy becomes a less relevant card. I personally think the Tag Call package still holds a lot of it's value in the current meta, but for completely different reasons than before. Most notably, I think there is some serious value in having a searchable out to Chaotic Swell and also having more Pokemon search in the form of Capture Energy. That being said, I dont think it plays nearly as critical of a role as it once did, so it's taking more of a backseat in this list.
