Deck Primer

this is the deck i usually use in expanded, lucario fight alone.

idea is to only have 1 pkmn on your bench, so that the opponent is forced to limit their bench space to reduce your dmg

puff isn't necessary, but is a blowout if it hits. you don't need 4 puff. N resets the opponent's hand for another attempt at hitting something off puff.

exp share and max elixir help you keep up on energy as you need 2 attachments each turn, you need to be attacking every turn. 12 energy instead of 10 to hit it off

i've found this deck can't afford the discard cost of ultra ball, hence evosoda. it works better than you'd think.

i included path to the peak in this list as it seems like it'd fit well, idk if you need 4 or not though, since it only works against certain matchups.

often times you don't need a full hand, just 1 specific card, hence skyla. skyla gets path to the peak.

escape rope comes up more than you'd think, since the opponent is incentivized to keep their bench small.

1 hammer is enough, you don't need much to keep up, just a little push. super rod is necessary.

You could try echo horn or Target Whistle too, to bring back KO'd Pokemon. Another way could be to go with Sky field, so you can fill your opponent's bench more, and try some bench barrier pokemon on your bench without worrying about losing some damage, so you don't get wiped out by Rapid Strike Urshifu or Jolteon

Thanks for the input. Forgot about Target Whistle, probably do need at least 1 in here. Dunno about Sky Field, seems win-more, I usually only hit 1 or 2 mons off of a puff so no need to expand the bench. I still think it defeats the purpose of the deck to use bench sitters like mr mime, you don't want to have to rely on whistles and puffs, those should be treated as nice bonuses and not the main focus. one bench slot is -60. Urshifu and Jolteon are problems tho, those weren't around back when I would use Luca, so I do need something. I think Metal Goggles could work vs Jolteon, they stop Zigzagoon and Inteleon. Conflicts w/ exp share but you could use Metal Saucer instead. And as long as Urshifu doesn't take a double KO, you should be able to recover, so the -30 dmg from Goggles might be enough. I always play as if every Lucario will be 1-shot anyway. if opp has 3 on bench (2 more than u) = 60 x 2 + 30 base = 150 dmg, Jolteon VMAX is 2-shot, Urshifu VMAX can be 2-shot w/ choice belt

I was just about to suggest metal saucers, but you've got the Max Elixirs. Not that metal saucer works on riolu anyways... Good decision on your end
