Bascially it plays fast. One energy for a powerful 50 damage as per each energy your opponent has. Most decks play 6 - 12 so 300 to 600 dmg as long as you let them play or if against lugia play smart. Let them drop 3 energy and hit for 300 on lugia v for knockout. 

Who needs retreat when you can discard for one or 2 and use flaafys ability to get them back on your bench. Thanks for the energy source.

Electric generator brings out possibly 2 more for an outstanding fight back at you. Yay winning.

These fight lugia and will put damage on those pesky special energy decks that everyone has trouble with. 

You can add klara for that extra hit for magnezone.

2 is playable if you add a Klara or 2. That way you can recycle them back for more. Basically replacing ordinary rod in an extra way instead of into the deck they go straight to your hand.
