I like this variant. Now that we have Mega Evolution cards, I'd like to work in some Fighting Gong and Premium Power Pro. Probably in place of some combination of Ultra Ball, Poffins, and Rare Candy. I might try it without Defiance Band to get in another Premium Power Pro, but giving up the tool for an item is a hard choice.
I tried making some of those changes I mentioned. The Premium Power Pro was great for reaching knockouts, but I felt like Fighting Gong left me stuck in the middle game sometimes because I needed an evolution Pokemon. I think I'll keep one Fighting Gong maybe for flexibility, but your deck is pretty solid as is.
Maybe this could play a copy of Klinklang (Stellar Crown)
