Deck Primer

This is the deck that I am running on the ladder currently. All things considered, it doesn't really have any prominent matchups that are unwinnable barring the fusion build of Mew VMAX and possibly the Snorlax stall deck. That being said, I'm sure the popularity of Mew is waning even more since the release of Roaring Moon, so I wouldn't be too concerned about that.

If you do find yourself against either of these matchups, the addition of Drapion V or Minior would fix that right up.

The matchups that this deck excels at are:

Roaring Moon, Charizard, Lost Box, Giratina, Ting-Lu, Toedscruel, and Gardevoir

Goes even with:

Arc Piles, Miraidon, Iron Valiant, and Lugia

Struggles against:

Chein Pao, Rapid Strike, and Arc Goodra

Chein Pao is probably the hardest matchup this deck has while still being winnable. The ability to consistently use Greninja in Tandem with Iron hands as early as turn 2, greatly hampers this deck's ability to set itself up and maintain a solid board state. Manaphy is greatly important and I would recommend removing either a copy of Collapsed Stadium, TM: Evolution, or Mew depending on how you prefer. The matchup becomes in your favor if Chein Pao does not gain the lead early. Your opponent will not be able to put Baxcalibur into play once Meowscarada is set up and then cleaning up Chein Pao becomes incredibly easy after that point.

The main weakness of this deck is getting your Alakazam lost-zoned. There is not an easy comeback from that and the gameplan starts to crumble. As long as that doesn't happen, Arven in addition to Bibarel make it quite easy for you to get Alakazam back into play should it be knocked out.

The strong points of this deck happen to be in the fact that you can take multiple KOs over the course of your turn and spread damage in a way where you can "checkmate" your opponent. By abusing the fact that most people run the 70HP counterparts of their basics, you can double Bouquet Magic into moving 10 damage off with Alakazam, into Yoga Loop to take an extra turn. There are enough resources for this to be done multiple times a game.

Potential cards to keep in mind:

Drapion V, Manaphy, Minior, TM: Devolution, and Professor Turo's Scenario
