Melmetal Single Prize

Here is a single prize Melmetal deck that can end up hitting your opponent pretty hard when using Melmetal’s Iron Bash attack.  Of course the glaring problem is attaching 5 metal energy too Melmetal to pull of this attack.  To get that energy attached to Melmetal we’re going to use Metang’s Metal Maker ability of course.  We’re also going to combine that with a Skwovet-Bibarel draw engine.  You’re optimal setup will be having a Melmetal in the active,

Here is a single prize Melmetal deck that can end up hitting your opponent pretty hard when using Melmetal’s Iron Bash attack.  Of course the glaring problem is attaching 5 metal energy too Melmetal to pull of this attack.  To get that energy attached to Melmetal we’re going to use Metang’s Metal Maker ability of course.  We’re also going to combine that with a Skwovet-Bibarel draw engine.  You’re optimal setup will be having a Melmetal in the active, a Melmetla on the bench, along with 2 Metang’s and the Skwovet-Bibarel draw engine.  Use the Buddy Poffin’s to get your basic setup quickly.  The Heavy Baton’s are key to keeping your deck going.  Place them on Melmetal, and only Melmetal.  They won’t do what they’re supposed to on anybody else.  Once you get on Melmetal setup with 5 energy and a baton, it’s not difficult to keep any other Melmetal setup to continue doing 230 damage.  Why is the Metagross in the deck though?  Well, Metang is just sitting there anyways.  What if you weren’t able to get a Melmetal setup?  Put a Metang into the active and evolve it to Metagross.  Metagross only has a 2 energy attack and you can potentially be doing 200 damage with it.  Why not Zamazenta?  That’s simply because of bench space; there is not enough of it.  You’d have to have only one Metang in place to make room for Zamazenta and unfortunately you really need those two Metang’s.  Why Roseanne’s Backup?  I find myself discarding the batons frequently, so I wanted a way to get them back.  It also allows me to get back a Pokémon and a Stadium.  I’m not using any special energies, so, that part of the card isn’t doing anything.  Don’t expect this deck to be competitive, it’s just meant to be a fun, different deck to play.
