This deck aims to set up Melmetal, which has a very favourable prize trade thanks to its easy to set up Reforged Axe attack which can take OHKOs on common basic ex-es like Ogerpon and Chien-Pao. Though a Metang engine could be used to power up the attack, that would require running three lines of Stage 1s which would greatly hinder the deck's consistency. Instead, Exp. Share can both be used to move Metal Energy to a benched Meltan and to set up Reforged Axe's cost.

I've chosen Neutralization Zone as my Ace Spec, but Hyper Aroma or Secret Box might also work well. Energy Loto might be alright for searching out Double Turbo, but I couldn't find room for it.

Since we're still in early days of the new expansion, I haven't had as long to test this deck as I would usually have with decks I post on here - so more than ever any feedback or suggestions are appreciated :]

Yes much better than the metang build. ❤️ Also takes advantage of how exp share's effect is used before it strikes, so it won't be a wasted discard from Reforged Axe which is pretty nice. 

 

I'm would still scramble around for space for loto. You are running a single prize deck, so you can assume a KO on your active every turn. This means you need to find a DTE every turn as well. This card is also searchable by Arven benefitting consistency greatly. 

 

Personally I would still go for Hyper or even prime as your ace spec. Knowing that you have a 230-250 dmg attack, opponent's won't put their vulnerable 2 prizers against you, so you would need consistent gusts. Hyper benefits consistency greatly. Also Neutralization is kinda an ass card since almost every deck has a quick answer. Any stadium, vacuum, or single prizer is a direct answer to it. and 97% of decks do.
