I'll give you some level of credit--this deck USED to be competitive. However, 2 generation's worth of powercreep and a lack of better options coming in, combined with being a triple-prizer proved to be too much for Mew3 to handle. Maybe if gen 10 brings back EX Pokemon or GX Pokemon with "modern" damage output, effects, and energy costs, things will be better, but at the moment it's probably not worthy of the "competitive" title, even if it's still a decent enough archetype.
CountyGibbon798 Yeah I was worried about the fact that Mewtwo & Mew was a 3-prizer. The current Expanded meta is too powerful for this. I gave it a competitive title for 2 reasons: -It used to be a good deck. -This has a good matchup against the most played deck in expanded. (Zoroark unless they play Garbodor)
I don't understand how this has a good matchup against the most played decks. If you mean Zoroark-GX, then I hope you invest in a local time machine to bring you to 2025. Phantom Transofrmation Zoroark isn't much better, as it's still just a meme in Expanded, albeit probably better than it was in Standard. If you mean stuff like Regidrago VSTAR, then sure Charizard's attack can OHKO it, but you also have to deal with Garbodor, Lugia plays Silent Lab, and Shadow Rider can just outpace you in the prize trade, as they can survive Charizard and OHKO Mew3 through weakness. Unless I'm missing something?
Me here a year later, broke cause I bought a time machine... xD (I don't know what I meant saying Zoroark was played in expanded in 2025. Right now it's literally Regidrago, Regidrago, Regidrago, and if not, what Vileplume Control?)
