More consistency less tech, need more prize denial method than just cyclone, need bench barrier counter, make it faster with expanded cards, need seeker, need more switch tech, loto over search. There are definitely a lot more to do, since at the moment, this is structured like a standard deck, expanded decks have so much better cards you should be aware of.

You did mention this deck is from irl so imma assume you either short on money or haven't discovered many expanded cards.

I normally wouldn't suggest on decks that need too much work but you commented on my deck so why not.

As you noticed I am fairly new to expanded. I could add a vs seeker or 2 but in replace for what also I dont think I need more switch tech cuz I already have 2 tower of waters and a escape rope and 2 switch. For prize denial I could add a Cheryl or 2 but again I don't know what to switch it with. Also I found loto to not be needed because I can search for special energys using octillery's ability and getting octillery max on my 3rd turn sooo yeah I like energy search better. Ty for the advice. Also oh ye I could add a manaphy.

ye still needs lots of work even after that.

Yes you have 2 tower of waters, escape rope and 2 switch, but I would still have 1 more as Urshifu's consistent attack will require you to switch twice in a turn. Especially since you only have 2 tower of waters, in a meta where chaotic swell is popular, a central stadium should be at least 3 or a full playset.

When did I say to add manaphy? I mean you could, just when did I say so? (although I'd use Mew unbroken bonds over manaphy)

You still need a bench barrier counter. If opponent has a bench barrier, your whole strategy is severely weakened. And in a meta where Alolan raichu Electrode combo is popular, many run Mew bench barrier.

Special charge, you will burn through your energy so quickly you won't even realize they're gone.

Scrap basic energy and add loto like I said. This is because you have access to strong energy, which does wonders against a variety of opponents. Also allows Urshifu to 2 combo 280 HP pokemon like ADP, Lugia, and Regidrago without Inteleon Chilling reign.

I would remove Inteleon line altogether. It might feel like it's adding to consistency but in reality it could very well be hindering it more than it benefits.

There are still lots you could do still after that. I would look at how some more experienced deckbuilders went about this strategy and try to formulate your own.

I'm also relatively new to expanded but Battle Compressor  has been helping me so I'll say a few things, though my specific thoughts might not be as good as what he recommends. He definitely knows what he is talking about.

I have played against the Rapid Strike Urishifu deck before, and was definitely strong even without Inteleon. Running a stage 2 pokemon has to be really worth it, especially if they aren't an EX like the Scarlet violet ones. Otherwise they can easily get sniped out or gusted out and OHKO'd, and your opponent might still get more than 1 prize card thanks to ADP or Iron Hands (two cards which I personally feel should be banned because they are cringe)

Use Guzma over Bosses Orders, especially if you can get 2 attackers on the field. Likewise, you probably would be better off with Prime Catcher since Urshifu relies on switching so much. Scooping isn't as good anymore since scoop up net was banned, and scoop up cyclone isn't really reliable with only 1 copy, though it does still have potential. I know it sucks though because Prime Catcher is so pricey 😞

A good strategy in expanded you could try would be to use Team Flare's Battle Compressor to throw cards into your discard like your key supporters and then vs seeker to pull them out only when you need them.

Other great cards to look at could include Night stretcher, and Trainer's Mail.

Serena is ok since it lets you switch again, but it might be better to battle Compressor her since the switching could set you up for failure. The rapid strike deck I played against still used Korrina's focus since it could be tutored out with Octillery, but if you Battle Compressor it's not necessary.

Ye thanksMonodoof for the compliments.

Your thinking is definitely improving, but if I were you I wouldn't be so fast to suggest on other ppls decks yet until you have perfected your own. I'll also quickly point out some of your misconceptions.

Scarlet and Violet exs are actually the ones you DONT want to use. Baby stage twos typically offer much greater variety of gimmicks that could possibly make them playable. I can't think of a single stage two ex that's playable in expanded.

ADP is actually a great card becoming more and more balanced as expanded decks strengthen. Right now, it might actually be in it's most balanced state, with other decks such as gouging fire holding it down. See my deck on META ADP (the gouging fire one) for more details on ADP.

Hands is OP? Bro it can only serve as a tech in box decks, and even then it's still weak and the extra prize is much too hard to take advantage of unless ur facing smth like Necrozma.

Scooping has always been great, and it hasn't gotten any worse since the ban of scoop up net. Net was most likely banned bc of unintended rule box restriction bypassing and donk. Acerola, Penny, Turo/AZ, Cassius, and cyclone are all great for scooping and will always be.

I like the mentality, but compressor engine... unfortunately doesn't work in every deck. It's not worth running if the core doesn't benefit from compressing, which this deck doesn't.

Hope this helps clear up confusion

Battle Compressor  surely there's SOME good stage 2 EX's for expanded. Like Gardevoir for instance lol. Though, granted, that one is pretty type specific. I just don't see the need to exaggerate and say that NONE of them are worthwhile

Also, respectfully, not really the point I was trying to say, I was just trying to say that stage 2 mons in general have to be REALLY good to be good, especially if they aren't the core strategy themselves.

I know that ADP and Iron Hands aren't the end all be all of all 1 prize decks, it's just that they mitigate the viability of the strategy of trying to rely on your opponent having to KO 6 pokemon throughout the game. (Not that they completely invalidate, just mitigate). I know there are cards out there to remove their effects for instance.

Anyways sorry for trying to help I guess

Monodoof im fairly new to expanded but ik about most of the improvements u stated from Battle Compressor (so really I should make a V.2) but ty anyway.

Monodoof Bro you need to be less sensitive. I'm just trying to make sure you're on the right track. If you don't want to hear it, just ignore. Not listening to advice and attempting to dispute them will only make you a worse player.
