Deck Primer

I wanted to create a deck using it as the main attacker.  Toxtricity’s attack, Loud Mix, does 50 damage plus 30 damage for each different type of Pokémon on your bench.  With 5 different Pokémon types on your bench, this attack will do an additional 150 damage.  Combined with the base 50 damage, that’s 200 damage for only two energy.  Unfortunately that means you need to attack twice to knock out a number of V and ex Pokémon.  There are ways

There are ways to increase the damage output, I chose vitality band for an extra 10 damage.  You could use defiance band instead, but you need to be losing in order to do the extra 30 damage, and we’re not loser’s right?  Although I didn’t include it in this deck, Practice Studio would allow Toxicity to do another 10 damage, bringing its total output to 220 damage, allowing it to 1 hit some V’s and ex Pokémon.  I didn’t add this stadium though because it’s more important to keep Pokémon on the bench in this deck.  As such, I have Artazon in the deck.  The nest balls, ultra balls, and capturing aroma (with the correct coin flip) will also make sure you keep your bench full.  Being a single prize deck, you’re going to get knocked out.  As such, I’ve added Super Rod’s to get back knocked out Pokémon and Raihan to keep you in the game.  There is only 1 Manaphy & 1 Radiant Charizard in the deck.  In the event they’ve gotten prized, there is a Heavy Ball to go get them.  If they and the Heavy Ball are prized, well, you’re going to have a bad day I guess.  Collapsed stadium, Avery, and Glimmora ex are this decks worst enemies.  At first glance Toxtricity might seem like the only attacker in the deck, which is why there are 4 Luminous energy in the deck (you might be able to just play 3).   This allows Radiant Charizard to be a late game attacker just when you need it.  It also allows Mimikyu to attack.  You don’t have to use Mimikyu in this deck, there are other alternatives such as Spiritomb and Klefki that would also have a good place in this deck.  I found Mimikyu works better than those 2 though.  The Luminous energy would also allow Manaphy to attack for 20 damage, but if you’re attack with Manaphy, you’ve probably already lost.  I’m probably running to much energy in this deck, it could probably still be effective with 2 less basic energy and another vitality band or Raihan.  Perhaps one less energy and that Practice Studio I mentioned earlier would be a better change.

already picked up a couple wins with this deck, I did take out two switches and added two generators

Yeah, I probably went a little heavy on the the switches here.  It could probably still work well with an energy or less still too.  So, at least there's room for changes.  I tried generators in my original build.  I don't like their consistency, and I found I wasn't having too much trouble getting the basic energy I needed anyways.  Which led to me taking them out.
