So a couple of suggestions I've noticed from my palafin deck: 

I like running N's zoroark as my draw machine as well as throwing in 1 Reshiram so if he gets damaged enough or gets stuck in the active, I can use him to attack  I also make sure to get a balloon on him for the free retreat cost

I would also throw in at least 1-2 iono just in case palafin ex gets caught in hand and you have no others in deck or stuck in prize box. 

I also either use luxurious cape, stamp, or belt as my ace spec. I feel like masterball is really just a waste of what can be an extremely helpful card.
