Technically Dreepy AND Drakloak are also Ghost-Dragon. Also these cards do not synergize well. Oh and you'd best hope that your opponent isn't packing Fairy or Normal types!
Tangent fairy types don't exist in the pokemon TCG anymore, and there is no normal type weakness either.
Mr. MEw I'm making a joke because fairies are immune to dragon type moves and normal types are immune to ghost type moves. I'm sorry if I didn't make that clear enough.
oooh my bad
Tangent hey, thanks for the feedback! any suggestions on cards that would synergize better?
I think Dragapult just takes up space. Tina hits harder. Sableye spreads. Comfey draws. There's no benefit to running Dragapult. You'll have more room for cards like Radiant Greninja and a fourth Colress's Experiment and a fourth Buddy-Buddy Poffin and a beefier Tina line. Also, please be consistent with your card art so it's easier for people to comprehend the deck.
Tangent to be fair, i just really like draga and gira and wanted to see if i could make a deck with them together! it's mostly for my own documentation, if other people want to try it out or get ideas from it thats great, but otherwise both the deck and the card art are just for fun :)
Oh ok. Just don't expect any competitive success. Your best bet for playing them both is in Regidrago VSTAR Box. Both have utility there.
Tangent yeah for sure! i loved playing regidrago a while back too, originally was drafting this with it included but was having trouble balancing it so i'll have to revisit it. this one's been surprisingly consistent on PTCGL honestly (though i know that only speaks for so much bc of matchmaking vs playing IRL) but a lot of decks i like to play are just more for trying something different to have fun with haha
I think you are mistaking redundancy for consistency. The issue with Lost Zone is the high skill curve. It's also not fun to play, for me. I think Dragapult is a great thing to play, but maybe it doesn't need Tina. Or you could play some expanded nonsense that uses a different Giratina, like Distortion Door.
Tangent oh nah i meant like, it's been giving me a surprising amount of consistent success! i can totally get why lost zone isn't fun for a lot of people to play too lol, it's tiring for me pretty often too but when i am in the mood for it i still like decks that really suck me in and make me puzzle over them :) all depends on what sort of deck i feel like playing on any given day really (and chronic nerve pain sometimes means i VERY much appreciate something else that forces me to pay attention to it instead lmao)
i've honestly never touched expanded and it's probably one of those things like you said with lost zone where i'm not sure if it would be too fun for me personally unfortunately, i get too overwhelmed by all the possibilities LOL
i was actually thinking more abt it earlier while playing and did notice that while yeah, i def agree with you about gira being a heavier hitter and sableye spreading damage around, draga being able to do both at once has been interesting in that respect - even if the damage numbers are lower, not having to choose between using your turn to either hit or spread damage and doing both at once has been REALLY nice for cleaning up overall - and draga doesn't get blocked by jirachi either!
but yeah bottom line, i don't think either of them NEED each other, but i thought it would be fun to just see if i could make something work as a concept. i wouldn't say anything i make is ever "perfectly" synergized - fitting in a stage 2 line is just clunky no matter what, it's not the entire recopied lost box decklist, i like playing wildcards for fun here and there and i'm fine with not winning every time bc of it lmao - but i think there's still something there thats fun to play for me at least. and feedback does help me figure out what to streamline bit by bit, so thanks again!
deadsignal Very interesting deck you have here. I think I would streamline it a bit more by removing the TM Evolution and the Mist Energy, both of which aren't as useful without a way to find them. In their place, I would put a couple copies of Pokégear 3.0 (Scarlet & Violet) to find your Colress's Experiment (Lost Origin). I'd also consider a copy of Radiant Charizard (Pokémon GO), as it is quite easy to empower late game, though I'm not sure what you would slot it in for.
MindTrickNick hey, thanks so much for the feedback! that makes sense, i was trying SO hard to fit arven in there to get the TMs but it wasn't working out for lots of reasons, mirage gate has been a lot more consistent. i actually thought of adding in pokegear last night as well so i'll revise that! it's always hard for me to get away from the habit of trying to add in so many counters/stallers like mist energy and whatever else but with this one i should probably get more used to just getting through the deck fast enough to not get hit lol
charizard is a good rec also! i had bloodmoon ursaluna in there earlier for that reason, but wasn't sure if it was worth using up a deck slot for - i'm not sure if that or charizard would be better, since ursa only needs a colorless or no energy to attack so wouldn't need to have a fire energy specifically, and has higher HP but is a 2 prize card. i could probably drop either the rare candy or 1 switch cart (maybe? i haven't had too much trouble getting cards in the lost zone) for one of them, any thoughts on which mon to pick?
