Strategy:

Arcanine EX is frail and has incredibly low durability. Its attack damages its HP, even if it's 150, it reduces 130 with its first attack and puts it at 110 with its second one - for a 3 Energy attack, this is not game-winning, by any margin.

So how do we fix this? Well, we could just not play Arcanine EX, right? But that would be disregarding what it can actually do best.

It is a Stage 1 Pokémon that can deal 120 consistently without discarding energies!

So how do we fix this? Well, we could just not play Arcanine EX, right? But that would be disregarding what it can actually do best.

It is a Stage 1 Pokémon that can deal 120 consistently without discarding energies! This means that it can consistently OHKO Pikachu ex (Genetic Apex) and still survive the damage from Zapdos ex (Genetic Apex)'s Peck. It also requires about the same set up as those 2 to do some crucial damage to your opponent.

But it still can't KO other important Pokémon EX from the Meta, since it leaves most of them with 10-30 HP left, especially Mewtwo ex (Genetic Apex), which can retaliate much worse.

But for that we have Weezing! It's a 110 HP wall which can Poison your opponent's Pokémon with just its Ability. This means that Weezing can wall your opponents while also crippling them - putting them in range for OHKOs with Arcanine EX!

Also, you might have noticied, that there are no healing Trainer cards in the Deck.

BUT this is clearly on purpose!

Keep Arcanine EX in the back until its time to shine - if it is going to lose HP, we might as well just go full throttle focus on KOing anything in your sight!
