NOTE -- Iscan is to be subbed out for the new Arven coming around in Scarlet and Violet. (Search your deck for an Item card and a Tool card and put into hand).

STRATEGY == The point of the deck is to be as good as possible at taking first-turn KOs, with 4 Fog Crystals and 2 Hisui Heavy Balls to search out Clefairys, along with Pokegear 3.0s and Pokestops to ensure that we can burn through as much deck as possible looking for those valuable search and switching cards. With the rotation of Air Balloon, it's going to be more difficult to keep switching your active Clefairy, but 4 Switches and 2 Switch Carts are generally enough to build a great foundation of energy for the rest of the game, as well as that important turn-1 KO.

POKEMON == Clefairy is the main attacker in the deck, with Wyrdeer V as a great secondary attacker to take 1HKOs that Clefairy can't. Drapion is great to counter Mew VMAX and also post-rotation Single Strike with Lugia. In addition to this, you can use Thorton to switch it for a powered-up Clefairy, to KO a pesky Gardevoir-ex with weakness. Manaphy is in the deck to tech against annoying snipe pokemon such as Radiant Greninja and the bench-hitting Kyogre. The unseen star of this deck, however, is Espeon VMAX, preventing Sableye destroying multiple Clefairys as well as being a useful attacker in this energy-heavy format against decks such as Gardevoir. While doing all of this, however, the main selling point of Espeon VMAX is that it's helping while sitting safe on the bench, safe in the embrace of the Moon and Sun Badge. Greninja, meanwhile, keeps the cards coming.

ENERGY == 15 energy may seem like a huge amount compared to most decks. However, sometimes even 15 is not enough! This deck is so consistent at getting energy on the board early, and Clefairy is so easy to KO, you always need to use your Energy Recyclers to get that energy back into play.

TRAINERS == Professor's Research is the main supporter in this deck, running 3 copies in order to keep the cards coming thick and fast, giving you the ability to cycle Clefairys, Energy, and resources faster. Arven can be used early to get that Sky Seal Stone out of your deck and take the extra prize card, as well as searching out an item card. Boss' Orders is great for taking out support pokemon and finishing off weakened pokemon, while Roseanne's Backup can help recycle resources when you begin to run out. Finally, Thorton can be utilised in great combos to take out your opponent's pokemon unexpectedly, and snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. Pokegear 3.0 makes it easy to find whichever supporter you need, and Pal Pad can recycle whichever supporter you need.

Pokestop can be used to find all of the items that we need to keep our deck functioning at maximum capacity, such as Switch or even search cards such as Fog Crystal on Turn 1. Any cards that get discarded accidentally can just be recycled with our copious amounts of recycle cards, such as Backup, Energy Recycler and Pal Pad.

Thanks for reading about this deck! I really think it could be a force to be reckoned with in the coming meta, especially since a slower meta is coming that our deck will consistently outpace and outclass. I hope you have as much fun with it as I have!
