Palafin ex is a VERY powerful card. The only issue is that it's super buggy on LIVE - Wait, they fixed that?!? - and it's hard to get into play. While we don't have any control over LIVE, there a number of ways to get Palafin ex into play. Wait there's only one, Palfin's Zero to Hero ability, but I meant that there are many ways to activate that ability! What would happen is you would have Palafin active (have a Finizen active, then evolve), and then play Rescue Board to retreat for free (or use Switch or Kieran or Prime Catcher, whatever floats your dolphin). Then, you promote a Dudunsparce or Abra, and then shuffle back into the deck to get Palafin ex back into the active spot, ready to hit for 250 damage!

Did they fix that yet on live? Built a couple Dolphin decks before using not abra but mostly dudunsparce for draw and free retreats, but it bugged out so I just shelved it for now which is rather sad considering the whole event they put out on Live is supposed to be water themed... Also does anyone know when the ability of palafin activates? I wonder how it works if you have a Flutter Mane (Temporal Forces) infront of you for example. Feels like that would just block you completely but as the ability states when its moving from active to bench I wonder when the ability activates if it could actually work or not.

Anyways like the Deck idea the Abra is a neat addition would be great if there was still Oranguru (Sword & Shield) to put any of the ex back in deck you have on hand else you are reliant on iono/Perrin or ultra ball/earthen vessel + rod

Furisode Girl (Silver Tempest) together with abra also seems like a decent play to get palafin ex out as well just an idea.

Iplaylostbox Radiant Greninja doesn't work in this deck. I don't play enough energy for that. I can't think of a good radiant for this deck, except maybe Jirachi or Venusaur. I'd rather devote my bench space to Dunsparce. I updated my deck on live with a 4-4 line of Dudunsparce which works better. I don't think I need a radiant, unless you want to find space for a Jirachi that will just take up bench space.

Two things:

1. What the heck is up with the 4-2-3 line (finizen, palafin, palafin ex)?

2.1 Hisuian Sneasel (Astral Radiance) + 1 Hisuian Sneasler (Astral Radiance) in case you run out of switching cards.

gwevljf the 4-2-3 line works because Palafin shuffles into your deck after using Zero to Hero. I also have enough switch cards, and can retreat for free using Rescue Board, so I don't need Hisuian Sneasler. Thanks for the suggestion though!
