Use Boss to strategically bring up and knockout any threats that can bypass your lock, or to KO any support pokemon (great for destroying Bibarel's and Kirlias) - make your KOs count, and try to knock out what will hinder their set up in addition to the lock. Ditto acts as a 5th Klefki to help guarantee a lock from the start of the game, but makes good ultraball fodder if not used turn 1.

The damage output is nothing impressive, but the lock capabilities- especially against all of the EXs and ability reliant decks- more than makes up for it. Been having great success with this in casual and on the ladder in TGC Live.

remove the big air balloon, it doesn't really help with the alakazam retreat costs, its only one energy. and also more energy

Eminginjo I don't fully disagree on the balloon, but tried it on a whim and fell in love with them. I originally had 2 switch in here but found more utility in the balloon since if they Boss up an Alakazam and don't 1HKO it, it just runs back and forces them to use a snipe or another Boss. They provide multi-use if the opponet tries to stall or fails a KO. It sounds weird, but I can't count how many times it's come in clutch in online matches.

Moreover, hard disagree on upping the energy count- keeping it low allows room for other cards, and Fog Crystal does double duty of getting an energy when needed, as well as acting as a nest ball of sorts. I found 7 to be the sweet spot personally, since I only ever really need 4-5 total- 2 powered up Alakazams, and maybe one for a Klefki if they have an annoying tool. I think people forget about his attack, and I've had a few opponents attach a Forest Seal Stone and not use it immediately. So Boss + Klefki attack it is, while I finish setting my stuff up!

can you summarize what you just said. My eyes are gonna blow

Eminginjo lol my bad.

TL:DR- Had Switch, replaced with Balloon for multi-use, it's saved my butt a lot.

Don't want to up the energies, as they're wasted space. Only need 4-5 energies in general, and Fog Crystal works double duty.
