PX4 , Mission Statment:
The reason I created this casual format. Is to reduce the expense of the current
"4-up " formats of Standard / Expanded / etc...
- Reducing the maximum amount of EX ,V ,GX , Tag Team etc... to 4 a deck. Is to limit the dominance of power creep, and to encourage players to pivot to their commons and strength of their bulk lying around. It also makes everything far less expensive, while not fully going "Pauper."
- limit (2) copies of a card per deck, means that with 2 mere precons you can still stack reprints of core staples, but will limit your ability to dig for a FTK start. This is also courteous to those who still want to play a certain deck theme. As 2 copies of any V, or EX means you can still have a 1 to 1 stack for say a V-max or Mega Pairing. While still promoting diversity in play style.
- overall increasing the probability of putting your anchors in the prize deck without outright diminishing your chance of playing them entirely, has been a welcomed approach to "Pokémon TCG Pocket" thus warrants translating into the state of the current physical card game.
