Well thought out
What about if your opponent has manaphy? They can use water veil then zeraora can't do bench damage anymore.
Good question demon. Yoga Loop can be put on Manaphy if needed, or any Pokémon for that matter....But that is mostly where your Boss's Orders and Escape Rope come in handy. To get Manaphy into the Active Spot and if you're lucky, KO with a Cross Fist for bench damage would be pretty sweet. That's why there are 4 Boss's Orders instead of your typical 1 or 2. To help get the tricky cards out front if needed, or put on the bench as well.
I've been playing this on PTCGL and played today in person at an event. Been doing okay with it, but the Ordinary Rods don't seem to have much reason to be here. Am I missing something?
PeppMint. I threw it in there as a way to recover a slow open. Like if you're slow to get Octillery set up and one of your Pokémon got KO'd in the process, like Octillery lol.
A more strategic use: you could discard a Pokémon like Passimian (Or anybody really) for Quick Ball to find Radiant Alakazam, then after playing Rod, find that Pokémon again.
Finally, you could discard 2 Pokémon when you play Grant supporter card, then after playing Rod, be able to find those Pokémon again thanks to Octillery.
If you're not finding a need for it. It also makes a good throw away for Grant supporter card as well. I wanted the deck to have some recycling ability just in case... you might not need it every game. But can come in handy.
I don't really think that boss/escape rope is enough. What about Arc/Dura? you could just throw a canceling cologne, and it counters both! ^-^ I would cut one O - Rod for it. You only need one. :D
Thank you Jaeden! It's super hard to keep track of every item and every counter attack. But that is an excellent addition to the deck! As I've stated before, Ordinary Rod doesn't always serve a purpose every match up... I could even go so far to say as this is just a skeleton of an idea. Cards could definitely be replaced as the user sees fit with more specific cards.
hmm, what if some 1 has like a ability that make can't play supporters?? Is there a card like that? I would add it to dragon Lugia killer.
Hey demon. There are a couple pokemon in standard format that do stuff kind of like that. Bilbarel, Diancie, Greedent, Hoothoot, Milotic, Shiftry, and Thievul all have different variations of what you're describing. I'm sure there are more in expanded format too, because a lot of the Omega Pokémon had additional abilities like that.
