Deck Primer

Here's a deck inspired by research on play.limitlesstcg.com, looking at how certain archetypes have performed since the new season started.  I finished this build and have had limited success with it.  Starting to think just a straight-up 4-3 line of Rapid Strike Urshifu would be more consistent.  This one just takes too long to set up.  Still, I really like the matchup with Zacian decks, which seeem to run around today's meta unchallenged by a solid fire type presence.

It's also fun to try setting up combos between Ursh and your big firey chicken, cycling between discarding and recovering energies turn after turn.

What do I like about this deck?  It's a little different from other RS Ursh builds I've seen.  The ideal gameplan with Blaziken V and VMAX seems pretty intuitive.  Start any of your non-Urshiu Rapid Strikers so that your VMAX can intro with Gale Thrust for 150 HP as early as your second.  On the following turn, pickup a KO or two with G-MAX Raipid Flow, which discards all of Urshifu's energy.  On your next turn, evolve Blaziken and use "Max Blaze" to get that energy back.  The sequencing will depend largely on your matchup.  You've also got some flexibility for energy acceleration with Moltres V, which hits the formidable Mew VMAX for weakness.  But, suffice it to say, using both Urshifu and Blaziken as attackers can provide for some powerful multi-turn combos.  And, with a combined HP of 650, the VMAX forms of both can absorb some serious damage, buying you time to secure that gg.
