In my opinion, I always felt that Rayquaza was a little too clunky to be META. Having to rely on discarding enough energy to get the OHKO and then relying on having enough flaaffy's in play to recycle enough energy to OHKO, and then having to rely on having enough flaaffy's to get that energy back into play. It all felt like one too many pieces to the puzzle which is why the card has a mediocre win rate. Also the fact that some cards (with enough HP) meant you were forced to discard one extra energy

Also the fact that some cards (with enough HP) meant you were forced to discard one extra energy only to get the KO felt a bit ridiculous. With more consistent discarding, draw power, versatility, and choice belts for those situations, I think this deck would do OKAY in the post rotation META. All-in-all, solid to say the least. Have fun!
