Also it's cheap, like 35 bucks
This deck looks interesting, I'll have to try it. What about damage pump for scream tail?
@Starmie23
It isn't needed, Gardie does it well enough.
Holy cow! This deck is incredible! Might become my new main deck! I love it!!!
Seems like fun, I ran into this deck on the ladder and it completely wiped me because I was dead drawing the whole game lol. Have you considered running Cresselia (Lost Origin) to deal with Manaphy? It doesn't need that much setup since Manaphy has basically no HP and forces your opponent to scramble to get it back up to avoid a big KO from Scream Tail, which a lot of ex decks are going to struggle to do. It also puts pressure onto smaller rogue decks to have both Jirachi and Manaphy in play which limits their bench space a lot (which is prolly why I was dead drawing tbh).
Not so sure how I feel about Miriam, wouldn't something like Klara or Tulip be better since they'll just put your mons back into your hand? I guess you could run Rescue Carrier since the tail is just a lil guy too
I haven't really had many issues with Manaphy, and I've considered Cresselia but it hurts my damage output later in the game when the energy is stuck. My solution to Manaphy is the Avery, which is a pretty evil play sometimes. I haven't tried Klara or Tulip, but I don't ever need that much retrieval ever either. When I Miriam, I recycle like one or two Tails and a Gardie, maybe.
How does it do against the mirror match with the standard Gardie? Looks like a fun deck regardless!
@Vdubblues
I don't often run into regular Gardie, but I feel like I have a much easier time getting set up. Often, I only need 2 Ralts on my bench, evolve one into Kirlia and draw a bunch using that and Greninja, then Candy the other and make sure I have a Scream Tail to promote, retreat the active and swing at a Skwakabilly of something bigger if I have the Capsule and enough energy, or a critical component. I remember a match where I just kept killing the Charmander, I didn't even see which Zard he was running lol.
@Vsubblues
I guess I mean that I have an easier, faster setup that hits really hard. I don't use Colapsed, but only need 4 most of the time, and my own Avery is pretty effective. Miriam is also something that most lists don't run, and if they don't have their other retrieval options, they can't get back the Greninja. I really should have a counter catcher to pull Gardie, because if they don't have energy in hand they can't retreat it. I should find room for counter catcher+canceling cologne.
It's definitely a fun deck to play. Wondering what cards you would swap for a non Battle VIP pass build. Any reason you don't play the fourth mirage stop Kirlia? Can put in the catcher+cancelling cologne and ditto with transformation start?
@Vdubblues
Honestly, I feel like it operated better as a different version of the Archetype. If I did the no-Pass build with Mirage Step, it would just be a Gardie Box without the Box. I think that Gardie Box is great, but I feel like this little version of the Archetype works as a separate deck.
