Deck Primer

Have you been a long-time fan of the Regis ever since the first trio came out back in the day? If so, then this might be the deck for you!

The Regi deck has shown dominance in the current 2022 meta as the best single prize deck in the format hands down. This deck hits many weaknesses including Palkia’s and Arceus’s which is crucial in the state of the current meta.

The goal of this deck is simple. Assemble all the Regis to access the Ancient Wisdom ability of -Regigigas (Astral Radiance).

This will allow you to place energies on the Regi that you want to attack with. Quick Ball (Fusion Strike), Ultra Ball (Plasma Blast), Capture Energy (Rebel Clash), Hisuian Heavy Ball (Astral Radiance), and potentially even the attack Regi Gate will allow you to gather all your Regis.

The most dominant attacker in this deck is arguably Regieleki (Evolving Skies). This guy does a ton of damage and is hitting the right typing with water being the most played type in the format right now. Regice (Astral Radiance)  is also a very strong attacker in this deck depending on the match up. It’s attack Blizzarding Bind can completely lock down your opponent’s Pokémon V’s in some cases. Additionally, Regidrago (Astral Radiance) is a very good attacker given that his attack deals the most consistent damage each turn and he has no weakness.

The best utility cards in this deck and Scoop Up Net (Rebel Clash), Ordinary Rod (Sword & Shield), and Cynthia's Ambition (Brilliant Stars). Scoop up net will allow you to get Regigigas out of the active as your opponents will likely try to boss him up the most due to his ability, retreat cost, or attack cost. Ordinary rod will allow you to regain any of your lost Regis, unfortunately the deck runs zero basic energies to regain from these. Cynthia’s ambition is extremely strong in this deck because your Regis are generally easy to knock out with any Pokémon V attack giving you the ability to refill your hand to 8 cards on the next turn.

This deck also runs a plethora of different energies. My favorite of which being Speed Lightning Energy (Rebel Clash) which will allow you to draw two cards if you attack it to Regieleki.

Lastly, Stormy Mountains (Evolving Skies)  is a good stadium for this deck because it allows you to search for Regieleki or Regidrago. This deck also runs a single Path to the Peak (Chilling Reign) so I suggest you use it wisely to turn off very dangerous Pokémon abilities.
