Running metang from temporal forces over magnazone is more consistent especially since you run technical machine evolution but you may need to add a bit more energy.

I prefer the Magnezone as you get more out of the top search in 6 than you do with Metang at 4. The Metang is easier to get out than Magnezone, but consistency-wise, it is variable either way. With Metang, you definitely would need to run more basic metal energy and maybe a couple of copies of Max Elixir to meet the shortfall if you don't get any basic metal energy off the ability search.

The only other energy-based accelerator I had considered was Klinklang 125/195 w/Triple Gears. You could run them to accelerate three basic energies in any way you like from your deck onto your Pokemon. In my current setup it would be easier to swap out with the Magnezone line, especially since there is 4x rare candy.
