This deck specializes in damned if you do, damned if you don't. When Dark Tyranitar is in the Active Spot, you put a damage counter on each of your opponent's Benched Basic Pokémon in-between turns. If you have a Dark Ampharos in play, your has to put 2 damage counters on 1 of their Pokémon each time they evolve it. By utilizing Ancient Technical Machine [Rock], you can de-evolve your opponent's Pokémon so that they are forced to take damage from Sand Damage and Darkest Impulse.
