Deck Primer

It's quite a simple deck. If you win the flip you want to go second with this deck so that you can use super growth on your first turn. The best stage 2 is generally irritating pollen Vileplume to item lock the game first turn but some decks can't beat disgusting pollen Vileplume or Decidueye so that can be right in some situations. Most of the time you start with item lock then whichever wall can stall the matchup. The most important thing with this deck is to not get your tag team knocked out.

You achieve that with Acerola and AZ. You may have to use Guzma and Mallow and Lana in a pinch to save your 3 prizer but it's not the best since they could boss you up in many matchups. There are 3 win cons all of which come up attacking with downer shock, attacking with splitting arrows, and looping Team Rocket's handiwork with Lusamines. Downer shock is not a very good attack so the mill option is probably better in this case but splitting arrows is actually strong. Many times you will have your opponent's active walled but they can build up to retreat into one that you couldn't lock, the plan in that situation is energy disruption with Faba, Plumeria, and Team Flare Grunts. Same plan if your opponent is building up to an attack that you can't barrier unless they can something on the bench you can Guzma up. Sometimes you can also lock out with the two stadiums(Guzma and Hala is great at finding the right one). There are very few actual item cards in this deck because you will be under item lock for most of the game, the only ones are tag call and computer search. The items help you set up on turn 1 along with capture energy which serves double duty as a nest ball and pays for retreat on your oddish/Rowlet. It's best to start on one of those basic Pokemon and not Rowlegg if you're going first in case they can knock you out turn 1. Tag call is very strong if you get it turn 1 letting you find both Rowlegg and a useful supporter generally like Cynthia and Caitlin, Guzma and Hala, or Mallow and Lana unfortunately like all item cards they mostly do nothing if you draw them later. I don't need to explain computer search, it's just there to find whatever piece is missing on the first turn. The items are never truly dead in this deck because eventually, you will find a tag team supporter to discard them.
