Salazzle ex is the main attacker, with it's attack Dire Nails. It does only 100 damage, but it burns and poisons the opponent's pokemon, and you switch Salazzle ex with another pokemon.

The ideal choice is to switch into Pecharunt with Perilous Jungle as your stadium. During pokemon checkup, add 10 damage for poison, another 20 if it's not a Dark Type, and then another 50 for Pecharunt's ability. Then add 20 damage for the burn condition, flip a coin, and remove the burn condition only if heads.

If you can't get Pecharunt, you can also use Turtonator, which has an ability that discards one of the opponent's pokemon's attached energy when damaged by an attack.

Latias ex' ability allows you to switch basic pokemon for free, so on your next turn, you can easily put Salazzle ex back as your active pokemon. If Latias ex is not available, that's what the Air Balloon is for.

Is this meta? Not really, because like Mega Lucario can tank a few hits and get back discarded energies. But Salazzle ex can get quite a bit of damage on the opponent's pokemon. And with grass decks being a bit common at the time of creating this deck, more often than not you at least do 200 damage.
