Another decent option if we are going down that path is Mewtwo ex with a tera of electricity.
Is it just me or do the decks with standard Pokemon (eg. the official decks) with no gold, illustration rare or about 1million ex, v, vstar, vmax look better?
But this deck, despite what I said, looks and seems to play (based on description) really good!
