This is a post-rotation list. Here, Espeon Vmax has replaced Gengar&Mimikyu-GX , which is a great counter against opposing Shadow Rider and decks that hoard a lot of energies on board. Pumpkaboo has obviously taken Marshadow's place. Eldegoss V fills the void created by Dedenne-GX better than anthing else acc. to me. This deck might play Training Court as opposed to Path to the Peak, but it depends on your style of play I guess.

Espeon is definitely an interesting tech against Shadow Rider for both the attack and the ability. I'm not sure what makes this deck a control deck, though, unless I'm missing something obvious.

We use our abilities, then play down path to slow down our opponent. Later in our next turn we use pumpkaboo to remove the stadium, use our abilities and then we can slap down another path to the peak. This is the only control feature I could think off, because path to the peak will have an immense impact on PTCGO. You could keep doing the pumpkaboo thing again and again with scoop up net.
