Shadow Rider & Gardevoir [Hyper Draw & Energy Accelerate]

This deck features a versatile cast of attackers whose strength accumulates as energies accelerate on both sides of the board. Shadow Rider Calyrex and Gardevoir both gain attack strength as Psychic energies fill your board. And with Shadow Rider Calyrex VMAX and Gardevoir’s abilities, you should be able to flood the board with Psychic energies starting in the early-to-mid game. This deck features a versatile cast of attackers whose strength accumulates as energies accelerate on both sides of the board. Shadow Rider Calyrex and Gardevoir both gain attack strength as Psychic energies fill your board. And with Shadow Rider Calyrex VMAX and Gardevoir’s abilities, you should be able to flood the board with Psychic energies starting in the early-to-mid game. Meanwhile, Espeon VMAX’s ability, Solar Revelation, protects your Pokemon who have energies attached. But Espon provides more than support. Its attack, Max Mindstorm, does damage equal to 60 times the number of energies attacked to all of your opponent’s Pokemon. This is perfect against decks that use a lot of energies like Lugia VMAX. Gallade’s attack is not so strong. And, of course, this deck techs a Drapion V to deal with Mew VMAX. Radiant Gardevoir provides additional defense, but also has a decent attack of its own similar to Espeon VMAX.

The Gardevoir/Gallade evolution lines provide the main draw support for this deck. Kirlia’s ability, Refinement, allows you to draw 2 cards at the cost of discarding 1 card. This will allow you to accumulate assets such as energies and evolution lines. Eventually, Kirlia evolves into Gardevoir, who’s ability, Shining Arcana, allows you to accelerate energies and draw cards. And finally, Gallade’s ability, Buddy Catch, allows you to search for any supporter card. This can prove helpful by seeking out draw support, but ideally it is to search out your gusts such as Boss’s Orders and Serena to take prize cards.

Most of the item cards serve to seek out Pokemon and Energies. Energy recycler is perfect for when you discard energies via Kirlia or knocked out Pokemon. Late game when you have Gardevoir, shuffle 5 energies into your deck to make it more likely that you can accelerate with Gardevoir. Pal Pad ensures that you will have a gust Supporter available late game to search with Gallade. Temple of Sinnoh is very useful against an array of decks including Lugia VMAX and Regis. Plus it helps keep Path to the Peak off the board, which destroys this deck. This version runs one Cheryl, but I have never used it. Will probably replace.
