WIP.  My Niece's out-of-box Corviknight deck needs a power up.  As with my own out-of-box Lyncanrock deck, I removed the cards I could confirm will be rotated out come April, added an actual "Win Condition", and tightened up the engine a bit to make it a bit faster, though I seem to have hurt the consistency a bit.

This is not intended to be a final version, but just an idea to help her find a direction.

Any input is welcomed, thank you.

Capturing Aroma (Silver Tempest) is not very good. Use Ultra Ball (Dark Explorers) for evolution search, or Battle VIP Pass (Fusion Strike) for early set up. We will also be gettin Nest Ball (Sun & Moon) with rotation.

Get rid of Marnie's Pride (Brilliant Stars) as its an awful choice of Supporter. Instead use Raihan (Evolving Skies) which is a much more consistent and stronger card in almost every way.

Ditch the Lucky Ice Pop (Evolving Skies) and Furisode Girl (Silver Tempest) and 1 Magneton and run 4 Professor's Research (Pokémon GO)

Cut some energy and run some Rare Candy (Pokémon GO) as its pretty much mandatory for a deck that is relying on Stage 2s like this

Thank you for the advice.  I admit it's been a pretty long time since I made a serious deck for Pokemon so every little bit helps.  Last time I played seriously was with the Team Plasma generation of cards, so about 10 years ago. >.<

If you don't mind my asking, how many energy is normal to run in recent formats?

dmdrax - Most serious players run low energy counts so they can run heavy trainer/supporter counts to boost consistency.

It totally depends on the deck though, and your acceleration. For example, Lugia VStar decks and Regi decks run high energy counts as they can accelerate it quickly every turn.

You can check https://play.limitlesstcg.com/decks to see some common archetypes and how much energy is run depending on the build. DIalga decks typically will run 10-11 energy, but its mostly all metal energy.
