Since you get started early by gauranteeing yourself this pokemon who has a two cost kill feature you can just kill all the basics in your oponents hand before the find more in their deck to put on their bench.

with a couple cards helping you get back those supports you used and potions to keep your HP high (you shouldnt need to worry about health because the whole point of this deck is to put a useless, energyless pokemon in active, you should have no problem ruining your oponents deck, and your friendhsip!
