Deck Primer

This deck focuses on Skeledirge and its Blazing Shout attack!! As the main card is a stage 2 Pokemon, you use Rare Candy to evolve directly into it from Fuecoco. If this happens early you can pressure your opponent into making hasty moves while accelerating 2 energy onto your Fire Pokemon in whatever way you like from your discard pile. Skeledirge can also attack for 190, pretty sizeable and able to 2 hit K.O even V-star or V-Max Pokemon.

In the case that you are unable to get Skeledirge onto the field, your backup accelerator card is Magma Basin. This Stadium can place energy from the discard onto benched Fire Pokemon for the cost of 20 of that pokemons HP per energy. Luckily, there's a pokemon that benefits from that: Arcanine ex. This Pokemon has 280 HP and hits like a truck!! It can hit for 30 then deal 10 more damage to the opponents active for each damage counter currently on Arcanine ex. Also for 3 Fire it can deal 250 damage by sacrificing 2 energy from itself.

Getting energy onto the active is a breeze with Amarouge, a Pokemon that can endlessly move Fire energy from your bench to your active.

Ho-Oh acts as a way to deal with problematic ability cards on the opponents bench.

With cards like Switch and Escape Rope, you can usually easily run from the active without the need for retreating, thus saving energy. Kindler and Peony can search specific cards like Rare Candy or Magma Basin while supporters like Copycat and Zinnia's Resolve keep your hand at high numbers.

This deck is perfect for beginners and is my personal deck. As I plan on updating it soon I thought I'd leave it here for those who are just getting into the Pokemon TCG. Have fun and enjoy! Danzen!
