The deck is based on the existing Snorlax/Pidgeot archetype used by Hale Obernolte (8th place @San Antonio), but makes use of lost origin chandelure, whose mountain roasting ability allows you to discard the top three cards of your opponent's deck when you evolve it. The deck is based on the existing Snorlax/Pidgeot archetype used by Hale Obernolte (8th place @San Antonio), but makes use of lost origin chandelure, whose mountain roasting ability allows you to discard the top three cards of your opponent's deck when you evolve it. Notably, this effect isn't limited to just one per turn! If you have a lampent and litwick in play, you can evolve the lampent into chandelure, turo it, and then evolve the litwick into lampent to repeat the cycle, milling 3 cards every turn. If you have a rare candy in hand (or quick search for it), you could even go for two chandelures in one turn and mill SIX CARDS in a single play, all from the bench!!

This deck is an absolute blast to play. It moves quicker than other snorlax builds because you can aggressively mill instead of just waiting for a deck out. If they've got 10 cards left and you know they've got one boss or switch in that stack, using a double chandelure play gives you over 50% chance of taking out their last remaining win condition. It also responds to the skwovet/pidgeot V/pyukyumuku loops that prevent decking out.
