  • Cofagrigus lets you move damage counters, setting up perfect knockouts or saving key Pokémon

  • Both Scizor and Scizor ex serve as consistent attackers, especially when boosted by Black Belt’s Training, which helps them deal even more damage

  • Genesect ex, combined with Buddy-Buddy Poffin, Nest Ball, and Ultra Ball, helps you search and set up your evolutions faster

  • Lillie’s Clefairy ex amplifies your Psychic-type attackers against Dragon Pokémon, giving you a big advantage in those matchups

  • Mega Mawile ex is a late-game finisher, capable of dealing 400 damage once 5 prize cards have been taken

  • Team Rocket’s Mimikyu acts as a pivot with free retreat, making it easy to maneuver between attackers

  • And finally, the engine: the Metagross line, especially Steven’s Metagross ex, which allows to attach both a Psychic and a Metal Energy from your deck every turn

Trainer Cards

  • Buddy-Buddy Poffin, Nest Ball, Ultra Ball and Brock's Scouting make the setup smoother and more reliable

  • Rare Candy allows faster evolution into Metagross ex, skipping Metang when needed

  • Night Stretcher and Energy Recycler help recover key Pokémon and Energies for mid to late game stability

  • Switch provides mobility when Mimikyu isn’t available

  • Team Rocket’s Petrel gives a bunch consistency, allowing for trainer card searching

  • Colress’s Tenacity is used to search Stadiums and energies for when Petrel is not available
  • Iono refreshes the hand and disrupts the opponent’s strategy

  • Lillie’s Determination keeps the draw momentum steady, especially on the early game

  • Black Belt’s Training enhances the damage output when needed

  • Boss’s Orders gives targeted gusting to bring up threats or easy knockouts

  • Granite Cave and Full Metal Lab strengthen the board — Granite Cave offering protection to the setup pieces, like Steven's Metagross ex, and Full Metal Lab reducing damage taken by all Metal-types
