This deck's core strategy is to use Lt. Surge's Raticate and Mr. Mime to two-shot any Pokemon using only 2 energies total for the both of them:
- Starting with a Lt. Surge's Raticate, for one Recycle Energy, you cut their HP in half with Super Fang.
- Next turn you Retreat Lt. Surge's Raticate for that 1 Recycle Energy which goes back into your hand, put Mr. Mime out with 1 Psychic energy  already on it, attach that same Recycle, and use Meditate for more than half of their remaining HP for the

Jynx is also able to Meditate, but is less ideal than Mr. Mime because her Retreat cost is 2, and because Jynx's Meditate takes 1 additional energy. Mr Mime is also great at mitigating retaliation damage on your opponent's turn with Invisible Wall. 

The rest of the cards are there to support this strategy, help keep the Pokemon alive, and Gust of Wind any targets that manage to Retreat after getting Super Fanged.
