Because premade decks come in oversized boxes with a manual and oversized playcoin and counters and the plastic holding the cards in the box. That is why the sets are overpriced.
Buying everything separately removes most of the cost. The lowest like Kangaskhan has dropped to 9.99 buth others can be 11 to 15

It's a budget deck with this setup. But Powerglass tool card could work better than Potions ?
