The description will be added shortly.
why the pokemon catcher instead of like counter catcher?
SlothTheHero Pokémon Catcher was overall more helpful in the testing I did for it. Also, that is explained in the description as well and for further proof, someone who got 1st Place with Team Rocket's Mewtwo ran Pokémon Catcher but you could run Counter Catcher if you prefer.
I did further testing and found counter catcher much more useful, will be making changes.
I have been playing Team Rocket since 2 or 3 weeks before release and I found your decklist very interesting. Mine was lacking getting started quickly. After using some of your ideas and combing them with mine, I took it to my LGS today and it was on fire. Some of things that I tried out from your list was the Fez and Lil Clef additions. Fez didnt seem like it fit the bill very well. There is already enough draw built in the deck that I felt it clunky. Lil Clef did come in clutch in one of my games where I was able to capiltalize on both benches being filled and hitting big numbers. The energy switches were a life saver a couple of times. Being able to power up Mewtwo ex the turn it came out was nice. The Team rocket great ball, excellant addition. Reminded me of the luiga days. This next part is after I you already posted your update, pikemon catcher was a hit or miss, but it is another gust option when you are head on prizes.
Now onto to some suggestions i have that has helped me. I run the Team Rocket Murkrow over the Sneasel. Hitting for 30 and turning off the attack next turn can help in a pinch if you need another turn or 2 to get something powered up. Bump up the grass count to 5, Nothing vetter than having 2 spidops on the bench both powered up and if mewtwo attacks you just discard 1 off each and then recurr those next next with charging up. I thought the poke gears were not a good choice due to the receivers and never had a problem finding a supoortor for turn. In this slot I use Iono so I dont deck myself out with all the draw.
Side note, Inuse mimikyu a lot, even if I am not against tera pokemon. I use it as my pivot since it has free retreat. A couple of times I have used Giovanni and it switched out my attacker and i put mimikyu up and then free reteeat back into my attacker. Having that free retreater comes in clutch sometimes.
Again, great list. Thanks for sharing.
Kickman Thank you for your feedback! Also, I've been testing Team Rocket's Mewtwo a bit as of recent and most of those changes you had suggested were what I found as well. Team Rocket's Great Ball has proved itself decent and Pokégear being lacking. I haven't though of using Murkrow instead of Sneasel so I'll go try that out. Have a good day as well!
Kickman i have been testing this deck out as well and found a lot of the same things you said. I do think i like the idea of murkrow over sneasle as well. I have also found myself not using fez since TR Ariana draws a good amount, and getting it out as your starting active just kills your use of Ariana. I did add a few colress's tenacity because i was finding myself not drawing team rockets energy much, plus being able to grab a factory is kinda of nice so you are getting full use out of it. Id def like to hear you opinions and what changes you have made!
@SlothTheHero that is a good idea of using Coloress. You can find my list in profile. Let me know what you think there were I could squeeze in the colress.
I wasn't expecting this deck to spike in popularity this quickly, thank you to everyone who viewed this deck!
Have you done any playtesting using team rockets petrel instead of colress and wondering if you have thought about twam rockets wobbuffet instead of the murkrow. Looking to hear your take on this
You should run Colress's Tenacity to find your TR's Energy and the Factory, also a Wobbuffet seems decently good in this deck.
Waffle Enthusiast Thank you for your feedback! Also, this deck is planned to update soon along with a reworked description to make it a lot clearer but TR's Wobbuffet seems pretty good, I'll test that out as well.
Dang this deck blew ip
The list has finally been updated along with the description, sorry for the long wait for the reworked description, I've just spent A LOT of testing for this list because it's really fun to play it and it had many iterations as well in testing.
there are sooooo many team rockets cards and a bunch of ways you can take the deck.
ive been meaning to make one that leans as heavily as possible into disruption, and its been on my ideas list for a while.
anyways, this deck EXPLODED somehow
ive got no clue why but good for u
