Two suggestions: First I am pretty positive you do not need 4 luminous energy since you shouldn't have that much just so you can attack with the 1 prize Garchomp. Secondly, maybe try it with Lucario since it has an unlimited damage potential, unlike the Groundon.

Groudon is more controllable because you can control the amount you discard. It is also a basic.

Really, I'm not a fan of either Groudon or Lucario. Lucario has anti-synergy with Cheryl, and Groudon is just SO expensive to use. I've been play testing this deck as a single prizer deck with a multitude of techy tricks. Yes I have the Sonic Slip garchomp, along with 2 luminous, the rest of the kit consists of an EVS Galarian Zapdos, an SIT Terrakion, and a Mew ex. Other things worth mentioning: a 1-1 of revavroom to discard energies and draw some extra cards, 4 earth vessel (which people seem to have forgotten existed), a grant, and some Roxanne path shenanigans. Garchomp is my favorite pokemon, so I really want this deck to be good. I'll probably post my list eventually, but for now, hope this extra long comment can provide some insight into a different way to play and build garchomp, as well as some of the techs it can potentially run.
