The Core Lock Mechanism

The deck relies on two specific Pokémon to create an anti-game state for your opponent:

Vileplume (Undaunted): Its Poké-Body, Allergy Pollen, prevents both players from playing any Item cards from their hand. Since you set your board up first, this hurts your opponent significantly more.

Stoutland (Boundaries Crossed): Its Ability, Sentinel, prevents your opponent from playing any Supporter cards as long as Stoutland is your Active Pokémon.

When both are in play (Stoutland Active and Vileplume on the Bench), your opponent is restricted to only playing Pokémon and attaching Energy. In the modern TCG landscape, where decks rely on Supporters and Items for 70-80% of their consistency, this usually results in an immediate soft lock where they cannot play most of their hand.

2. The Turn 1 Engine

Because this deck runs Broken Time-Space, it ignores the standard evolution rules. This allows you to evolve an Oddish all the way into a Vileplume and a Lillipup all the way into a Stoutland on the very first turn of the game.

Uxie (Legends Awakened): The primary draw engine. With Set Up, you draw until you have 7 cards in hand. Combined with Professor Oak (discard hand, draw 7), you can dig through half your deck in one turn.

Broken Time-Space: The most important card in the deck. It allows you to evolve Pokémon the same turn you play them down.

Poké Drawer + & Computer Search: These allow you to hand-pick the missing pieces of your evolution lines (Rare Candy, Stoutland, etc.) to ensure the lock is established before your opponent even gets a turn.

3. Execution Strategy

Explosive Start: Use your Item-based search (Level Ball, Ultra Ball, Luxury Ball) and draw power (Uxie, Oak) to find your evolution pieces.

Establish Vileplume: You must play all the Items you need before putting Vileplume into play, because once Allergy Pollen is active, your own Items (like Computer Search and Item Finder) become dead cards in your hand.

The Active Stoutland: Use Double Colorless Energy to power up Stoutland’s "Wild Tackle." While 90 damage isn't massive by modern standards, the fact that your opponent cannot play Boss’s Orders, Research, or Gutsy Glass means they likely can't find the resources to KO a 140 HP Stage 2 Pokémon quickly.

Recycle: If a Stoutland is knocked out, Rescue Stretcher brings the line back to your hand, and thanks to Broken Time-Space, you can put a new one back into the Active spot immediately to maintain the Supporter lock.
