Deck Primer

This is our Future deck and the meaning behind the name is that we're using mainly electric types with grass being added.  Therefore, we get the Yellow flash of the leaf, thought it was a neat title for such a deck. I'm going to explain the meaning behind each card in the deck below.

Iron Hands X3

This is our Future deck and the meaning behind the name is that we're using mainly electric types with grass being added.  Therefore, we get the Yellow flash of the leaf, thought it was a neat title for such a deck. I'm going to explain the meaning behind each card in the deck below.

Iron Hands X3

- Iron Hands is the primary sweeper in the deck. The objective is to get him loaded up with energy while boosting it from all four Iron crowns. It'll give him +80 in its attacks to inflict massive damage. If you have another Iron hands on your bench, equip it with the Heavy Baton so that way if it gets knocked out, the energy won't be sent to the discard pile. I'd say three is the ideal amount but if you want to run 4, then remove a Miraidon for the 4th copy.

Iron Thorns X1

- Iron Thorns is another great sweeper, but it'll primarily be used to shut down opposing Pokémon's abilities. As long as your opponent isn't running any future Pokémon, you'll be able to freely play without the drawback with the exception of Mew EX. If you have three Iron Hands, then remove a copy of Thorns, or if you only have 1 Iron Hands, add a third copy of Thorns.

Iron Crown X4

- Iron Crown will be our bench warmers in the deck. You want to aim for 3-4 Crowns on your bench at all times, each copy giving your future Pokémon a 20 point boost, with a maximum of 80 points. We do run some Psychic energy for its attack, but I'd only use it as a late game attack to finish off weaker or damaged Pokémon for the win.

Iron Leaves X1

- Iron Leaves is an additional sweeper that goes great into Charizard. This card makes for a great end game sweeper as well by being placed on the bench and immediately switching with your current active and moving energy to it. With the boosts from Iron Crown and a booster energy, this Pokémon can inflict lots of damage. Not to mention, it doesn't share the same fighting weakness that the other Pokémon have.

Iron Bundle X1

- Iron Bundle acts as a free Boss's order and can be a great way to disrupt your opponent and even secure a win. If you aren't worried about using a Boss's order, then you can remove this card add another Pokémon or Trainer card you would like.

Mew EX

- This is our only non-future Pokémon. This card is solely added to the deck for its 0 retreat. Of course, it's attack can also be beneficial, but for the most part, this card is used to just be in the active while also restoring our non-existent hands.

Miraidon X4

- This is our main starter in the deck. I like running four copies of it. Not only does it get a boost from our crowns, but it'll allow us to start adding energies from the deck to our bench. It's a single prize Pokémon, so when it gets knocked out, it won't be a massive loss, and it'll allow us to get damage on an opposing Pokémon before sending our Iron Hands to secure the knock out and get 2-3 Prize cards. I almost want to keep this card at 4 for just how good it is.

Energy Line up

- We run a total of 15 energies, three Grass for our Iron leaves, two purples for our Miraidon, though you can also use them as colorless for our other Pokémon. Electric is our primary element, so going for 10 felt fair enough. I wouldn't go any higher than this unless you had plans to discard them and reattach them from the discard pile.

Heavy Baton X2

- Heavy Baton is for our Iron Thorns and Iron Hands. Whichever one you have active, equip this to so that way, if it gets knocked out, the energies won't be discarded and can be given to another. Some opt for 1, I felt that two would be decent enough, especially if one is placed in the prize pool.

Future Booster Energy X2

- Fun fact, I just learned Pokémon could only hold one item. If you have a Hands with the Heavy Baton or your Thorn with it, equip this to the benched Iron Hands, or perhaps your Iron Leaves or Miraidon for extra damage output.

Techno Radar X4

- This is our primary searcher in the deck. You can add any Pokémon to your hand aside from Mew EX. This is a great way to add those Iron Crowns.

Nest Ball X3

- Much like Techno Radar, this lets us add any Pokémon from our deck without excluding Mew EX, the only difference is there is no discard and we aren't limited to just future, though we can only add 1 Pokémon at a time.

Electric Generator X4

- This is how we'll load up our Pokémon on the bench with electric energy.

Switch X2

- If we aren't able to get a free Switch with Mew EX, this is a close second to avoid any wasting of energies.

Switch Cart X2

- This works the same as Switch, but I'm unsure if your Pokémon needs to have damage on it to activate. If not, then adding two more of these over the traditional switch would be better

Reboot Pod

- This lets us attach a basic energy to all future Pokémon from our discard pile.

Arven X4

- Arven is our primary searcher of the deck which lets us add a tool and item card. This is a great way to get our momentum going.

Iono X2

- This basically is a redo in the hands based on the number of Prize cards, just really ideal in messing up your opponent's hand.

Boss's Orders X4

- You can always cut this down to 3 to add another Pokémon into your deck, but for now, being able to manipulate what your opponent has on the board can go a long way, so until further testing is done, I'm keeping it at 4.

Notes

- You want to see Miraidon above all. Do what is needed to get it in your active zone to get those energies moving.

- You also want to go second if you can.
